Following up on yesterday’s report of Vitamin World‘s lawsuit against Hartz Mountain Industries, Hudson County Superior Court Judge Hector R. Velazquez ruled Tuesday to halt the demolition of the Harmon Cove Outlet Center.

Vitamin World will now have until the end of Wednesday to file an appeal in the case. Vitamin World is claiming Hartz violated its lease by locking out tenants without notice on September 29. Hartz began interior demolition of the building on November 1 after a court restraint expired at the end of October.
Vitamin World’s lease was not to expire until 2015 and the company has not agreed to relocate to other Hartz properties like other retailers.
